On the 4th of August 2026, Planda Portal, the new planning application submission platform with built-in AI validation, and Resi, the UK's largest home extension architecture practice, announced a groundbreaking partnership.

Each of Resi's 2000+ annual planning applications are now drafted with approximately a 10 minute time saving. Applications flow directly from Resi’s internal CRM system straight into their Planda Portal organisation and then onto the LPA, via the Planda Portal API. This alleviates the need to manually transfer data from one system to another and is a remarkable advancement in leveraging the latest technology in the PropTech industry.

The hidden cost of planning at scale

For any practice submitting planning applications at scale, the same friction repeats on every single job - and it compounds:

A snapshot of the partnership

In short: when a Resi designer finishes a project, the application data now flows, via Planda Portal's Open API, straight from Resi's own internal workflow platform into Planda Portal. Around 95% of the planning form data Resi already holds auto-populates, time spent on the platform filling out forms drops 3x from 15 minutes to 5.

Every application is then checked by AVA, Planda's AI validation engine, against validation requirements before it reaches a council - and the validation reference flows back into Resi's system automatically, so both sides stay in sync with no manual reconciliation.
